The Origin of Upkeep Care
Upkeep Care was born from Blake's experience navigating support after getting sick with a chronic illness that left him wheelchair bound. The good news he discovered was that many resources existed to help. The difficult news was that finding those resources and actually accessing them was a nightmare.
Over time, Blake was able to find the support he needed to continue living independently, and eventually, to get healthy. That journey made the problem clear. Help exists, but the path to it is unnecessarily hard.
Today, Blake and his team are on a mission to simplify the journey of finding help for others through Upkeep Care.

Through our work with frontline organizations, we uncovered a clear pattern. The best run organizations often struggle the most to meet demand. As they improve and expand access, more people turn to them for help. Like a highway that keeps adding lanes, increased capacity brings even more traffic, and the need for support quickly outpaces what human teams alone can provide.

We build tools that give organizations the capacity to reach everyone who asks for help, while preserving what matters most: meaningful human time for the people who need it most. Our goal is not to replace care, but to make it scalable, sustainable, and deeply human.
